The Resurgence of Ronaldinho Gaucho: "The Goal That I Promised."

Last night at the San Siro, fans were reminded why Milan wanted Ronaldinho so badly, and vice versa, this past summer.

It was not one of his signature bicycle kicks or a deft flick that has mesmorized the public in the past. It was the ultimate team move, which was started by him with a perfect ball to Kaka'. It was finished with a precise header past Julio Cesar, his friend and teammate on the Brasilian selection.

"Il Milan aveva bisogno di allegria e sono qui per questo. Sono contentissimo, speravo nel gol, lo avevo promesso ai tifosi ed è arrivato in una partita così importante. Sono felice di giocare qui, mi sento a casa mia. Ogni giorno di più sto bene al Milan"

"Milan needed joy and I am here for this reason. I am very happy, I had hoped for the goal, I had promised it to the fans and it arrived in a very important game. I am happy to play here, I feel at home. Each day I am better in Milan."

His joy, as can be seen in the video above, was pure and genuine.

Welcome to Serie A, Ronie. :-)
